Go with the grain

Residential project

Located close to the North Yorkshire moors, the sleek kitchen, living space is the heart of this beautiful new build.

BRIEF

A flowing, functional design was key for this space, making it suitable for everyday life while also adapting to entertaining with family and friends. With a young child, a solution which would stand the test of time and evolve through the years was also important to the client.

DESIGN

A flowing, functional design was key for this space, making it suitable for everyday life while also adapting to entertaining with family and friends. With a young child, a solution which would stand the test of time and evolve through the years was also important to the client.

The large central island creates a natural gathering spot, with a striking, monolithic quartz breakfast bar as an ideal perch point, whether it be for drinks with friends or after school snacks. Smart storage, such as the pantry cabinet, keeps worktops clear of appliances, meaning the space can remain minimalistic, yet styled with personal touches, creating a charming, homely atmosphere.
A beautiful media wall in the living area continues the feeling of calm, a sanctuary for family, friends and cute pooch, Buddy, to take a seat for a moment of tranquillity.
Throughout the space, practical wood effect finishes are thoughtfully contrasted against soft yet eye-catching materials while also subtly referencing the rural location of the home.

PROJECT FEATURES

This project features SieMatic SLC furniture in Agate grey & Terra larix with quartz worktops, Siemens appliances, BORA hob & extraction, Quooker boiling water tap and Spekva dining table. A utility room in complementary SieMatic furniture was also included, while the living area features a Sangiacomo media wall.
