Serene Scene

Residential project

Built in 1913 for the daughter of a local mill owner, this stone-built Victorian property has been sensitively restored and extended, creating a contemporary family home that was designed to celebrate the breath-taking views across Baildon Moor.

BRIEF

With aspirations to develop their home cooking abilities, the clients were looking for a highly functional layout featuring appliances that promote the exploration of new cooking styles and techniques, planned around the island which creates a central space for family and guests to gather around when entertaining.

DESIGN

Designed around the switchable glass window panel, the linear form is repeated in the floating light shelf, raised cabinetry and appliance arrangement, creating balance which is complemented by the elegant use of materials.

PROJECT FEATURES

The project features SieMatic S2 furniture in Nutmeg with quartz worktops, Spekva timber breakfast bar, Miele appliances, BORA cooktop & extraction, Quooker boiling water tap and co-ordinating bar area with Liebherr appliances.
